Former PGA Tour Player Hugh Royer III Opens the Champions Golf Academy
Tuesday March 4, 10:00 am ET

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., March 4 -- For more than a decade, Hugh Royer III competed successfully against some of the best golfers in the world and now this renowned golf instructor will put his expertise to work at the Champions Golf Academy located at the Long Bay Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Royer played professionally for 14 years, which included three years on the PGA Tour, four wins on the Nationwide Tour, and was a winner on the South African Tour. As an amateur, he was the Georgia State Amateur Champion, Southeastern Amateur Champion, Western Amateur Champion, Azalea Amateur Champion, NCAA Division II Player of the Year and member of the First Team All-American. In 2000, he was inducted into the Columbus State University Hall of Fame. {more}
