The Champions Golf Academy
opened in 2006 to provide golf instruction to players of every level. In
the development stage, there were plans for a state-of-the art learning
center and teaching faculty were selected from highly skilled
candidates. Under the direction of former PGA Tour Player Hugh Royer,
III, the foundation for a unique golf learning facility was laid that
would include golf training and fitness programs for collegiate level,
professional golfers, adults and juniors.
Now, the academy is fully operational with a state-of-the-art learning
center that includes three private teaching bays equipped with the V-1
Digital Coaching System, short and long game areas, relaxing lounge,
extensive club fitting technology and its own fitness center and driving
range.
In 2008, the Champions Golf Academy became an official sponsor of the
Canadian Tour, The Hooters Tour and the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour as
well as partnering with major golf corporations such as Nickent Golf,
Page & Tuttle, Tour Golf Fitness, UST, Zelocity and GustBuster/SunBuster
for equipment and supplies and is the official training facility for the
Tour Players Group.
